Expert Stump Grinding in Custom Home Building And Barn Dominium, IN

Stump grinding is a key step before breaking ground on a custom home or barndominium. Left in place, stumps and their root systems rot over time and create voids beneath slabs, driveways, and building pads. OBG Inc uses commercial-grade stump grinders to reduce stumps well below grade, leaving the footprint clean and stable. This matters most on rural and semi-rural lots, where raw land often has scattered tree stumps from prior clearing or storm damage. Barndominium sites in particular require a clear building pad and reliable equipment access. Grinding removes obstacles that could interfere with grading, concrete work, or foundation prep. The resulting wood chips can be spread on-site or hauled away. Whether you have one stump near a planned driveway or a dozen across a future building footprint, OBG Inc handles the job with the right equipment and crew. Call us to schedule a site visit and get a straight assessment of what your property needs.

Stump Grinding FAQ

Common questions about stump grinding in Custom Home Building and Barn Dominium, IN.

Yes, stumps and roots inside your building footprint should be ground out before any slab work begins. Rotting roots left under a concrete pad can create voids that lead to settling or cracking over time.

OBG Inc works on rural and semi-rural properties where access can be tight, and we assess site conditions before starting. We select the right grinder size to reach stumps without damaging the surrounding land.

The chips can be spread across the cleared area to help reduce erosion, or we can haul them off the property. You choose the option that works best for your build site.

Stump grinding reduces the stump well below ground level, which is sufficient for most building pad and driveway applications. Full extraction removes the entire root ball, which may be needed in specific foundation zones.

OBG Inc handles single stumps and multi-stump jobs across larger rural lots. Whether your property has one stump near a planned driveway or several across a future building footprint, we bring the right crew and equipment.

Stump grinding stays contained to the target stump and does not disturb the root systems of nearby trees you want to preserve. This makes it a better fit than full excavation when you are working close to trees you plan to keep.

Hands down the best office and team. Feels like family when you walk in, calming environment and beautiful setting. I’ve been going here for almost five years now and make a 30 minute drive just to see everyone. Being in the medical field I can tell they run this office very well and truly care about their patients. They take the time to sit and talk to you and listen to your questions and concerns. They are always reachable and can get in touch so much easier than another office I used to go to. Love you all!

Dr Schnarr is the best of the BEST when it comes to OBs. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her work, you can tell she genuinely cares so much for her patients. She always remembered little details about things I said, and would always follow up with answers to questions she didn’t have right away. Angela, as well as the other office staff are very kind and helpful. I am so grateful for her care with my twin pregnancy and highly recommend!

I just had my 1st pap smear done with Dr. Hai Nguyen at the age of 38. I was extremely nervous and afraid why I waited so long but when I walked in my fears diminished, the lady's at the desk and the atmosphere here was welcoming and positive. Dr Nguyen was really cool, she made me feel comfortable, was patient and gave me a tip that helped me relax lol. Pap smears aren't fun but I'm glad I waited and found an amazing place to go to for all my womenly needs. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and all the Newport Beach OB/GYN crew for the amazing experience see you next time!
